Our therapists are skilled in a wide variety of massage techniques and like to integrate different modalities address to your particular needs.

Swedish Massage
Bodywork designed for deep relaxation. Smooth, steady pressure is applied to the muscles and bones by rubbing with the circulation, toward the heart. This enhances the flow of oxygen and helps rid the body of toxins. Reduces your stress, flushes lactic acids from your body, improves your circulation and increases the flexibility of your ligaments and tendons.

Shiatsu
This oriental massage technique is rooted in Taoism. It is designed to assess where your energy is blocked and restore you to a state of fluid balance. Pressure points along the meridians of your body are gently massaged to stimulate the flow of chi (life force energy). Traditionally, Shiatsu has been used to prevent and heal a variety of conditions ranging from headaches to pulled muscles.

Therapeutic Massage
More intense and specific techniques are combined with traditional massage strokes in order to address issues in muscles and connective tissues including tendonitis, trigger points, immobility or general muscle pain from injury or overuse. Promotes general relaxation of muscular and nervous systems to enhance circulation and to maintain or improve range of motion and joint mobility.

Craniosacral Balancing
A therapeutic healing approach based on the manipulation of the cranial bones, soft tissues and fluid which bathes and protects the central nervous system. The practitioner is able to tune into the pulse or “primary respiration” created by the tide-like fluctuation within these tissues and fluid, working with your breath to release toxins, stress and trauma held in core areas.

Prenatal Massage
No one needs massage more than a pregnant woman. Many safe techniques for pre and postnatal mothers can reduce discomfort and enhance the well-being of your and your baby.

Sports Massage
Reduce injuries, alleviate inflammation, prepare more thoroughly for and recover faster from competition. This is for professional and amateur athletes.

Reflexology
Manipulation of specific points in the foot, hand and ear is used to increase the body’s energy flow and stimulate the body’s healing response. Reflexology is very effective in reducing stress-related and emotional disorders.

Reiki
Originally, an early Tibetan Healing practice, Reiki involves gentle touch and visualization to align chakras and energize the organs and glands.

Trager Approach
Fluid, gentle rocking movements release tension patterns in the muscles and joints, leaving you feeling light and flexible. Gradually, you learn how to anchor these pleasurable sensory states and recreate them for yourself.
