What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient technology that brings you into the present moment as your True Self. Its popularity today is a testament to the fact that it works. Yoga transforms the body to transform the mind.
Yoga at Namaste
If you are seeking vitality, transformation and liberation, you need to cultivate that part of you that is already awakened. If you believe you are a closed system, with no way to regenerate your energy, you look outside yourself for nourishment you believe is in limited supply. When you develop an awareness of the body, the eye of the witness and an understanding of the laws governing the spiritual basis for physical life, you awaken to the unlimited power to recharge yourself with life force, the intimacy of living authentically, your interconnectedness to all life and the reality of your True Face.
At Namaste, we teach an integrated approach to yoga that emphasizes the relationship of the physical and the spiritual. We begin by teaching you how to cultivate radiant health. A healthy body and well-being are the foundation of Classical Yoga. They provide a ground for enlightening insight and liberating realization. Your liberation bears fruit as a way of life attuned to your Authentic Self.
Yoga is the practice of presence as pure awareness.
Yoga is skill in action.
Yoga is equanimity.
Yoga is developing wisdom.
Yoga is discovering our true nature.
"We need not believe in anything other than the possibility that we can transform ourselves: that we can go beyond our present understanding and experience of the world and beyond our current egocentric state of being."
The Deeper Dimension of Yoga by Georg Feurerstein
